Great Foods for Great Skin

Great Foods for Great Skin

Are you using natural products on your skin but still not satisfied? Believe it or not, like your body, the health of your skin depends on the foods that you consume. Water, antioxidants and vitamins A, C, and so forth are key when it comes to achieving that healthy glow!

For perfect looking and feeling skin, try sneaking these foods into your diet:

Avocados

Avocados are a great source of healthy fat and provide phytonutrients for your skin. Try a serving of avocado toast in the morning, or even sneaking some into your lunchtime smoothie to reap its benefits. And don’t forget to try out our Revitalizing Night Oil, which contains Avocado Oil and a ton of other nutrients!

Tomatoes

Tomatoes provide a natural SPF for your skin, protecting your skin from sunburn (note: eating tomatoes is not a substitute for using sunscreen) due to its high levels of the antioxidant lycopene. Lycopene helps fight free radicals and eating cooked tomatoes along with a healthy fat (hello again, avocado!) increases absorption.

Green Tea

Sipping on a cup or two of green tea a day will provide you with elastic and smooth skin.  Green tea contains antioxidants that enhance blood flow and oxygen to the skin. This helps carry important nutrients that keep your complexion looking healthy.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin contains a great amount of beta carotene that gets converted into vitamin A. Vitamin A helps the growth of skin cells leaving your skin soft and wrinkle free. The antioxidants in pumpkin save your skin from aging too quickly as it neutralizes the free radicals.
